USES OF JUST

JUST/dʒʌst/  adverb
1- Just is used to mean 'a short time ago or before'
     Susan was just telling me what has happened
       I have just finished work


2- Just is also used with the broad meaning of 'only'
     The medicine costs just a few euros
       It was just a stupid mistake


3- Another meaning of just is 'exactly'
     Thank you so much, it was just what I wanted
       He is just like his father


4- In spoken English, just can also express strong emphasis
      I just can't believe what has happened
